Once or Every Day: A Story of Lina, Courage and Choice

A mysterious girl with a white handkerchief

There was an orphan girl in our school 😢. She lived with a very pious grandmother 🙏. Every Sunday they went to church ⛪, fragile, in snow-white scarves 🤍.

“God, have mercy on them, they do not know what they are doing” 🙏

School teasing and chocolate disaster

The girl was teased 😔, no one was friends with her 🌀. But one day, in the school cafeteria, a “chocolate accident” happened – cocoa spilled on the high school students 💦😳.

“Let’s run!” 🏃‍♀️ – I said, and we ran away together

An escape plan and a lesson in courage

When the “investigation” started, I wanted to run to the attic 🕵️‍♀️. But Lina stopped me 🚶‍♀️:

“Even if they beat us, they will beat us once. And if you don’t leave, you’ll be afraid every day.” 😨

Return of the wallet and the birth of friendship

We were not punished, on the contrary, my wallet was returned 🐭💸. And that day a new friend appeared 👯‍♀️.

“Let’s go get some waffles with condensed milk from grandma” 🧇🥛

One jump – for life

Many years have passed 🕰️. But I always remember that conversation and that choice.

“It’s scary once 😬. Or every day.
You conquer fear once 💪. Or it lives your life for you every day 🧠.
There is a choice ✅.”
