Dinner should be ready. It is worth taking care of this in advance, sometimes even the night before dinner, so that delicious and varied dishes are ready for your husband’s arrival. This is a way to show your husband that you think about him and care about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home, and the sight of good food (especially their favorite dish) is an integral part of a warm welcome.
Get ready. Take 15 minutes to rest so that you look fresh for his arrival. Fix your makeup and hair. Remember that a second ago he was surrounded by people who were busy with work.
Be cheerful and interested in him. After a hard day, he needs inspiration. Inspiring your husband is one of your direct responsibilities.
Clean up the mess. Before your husband returns home from work, tidy up the main part of the house one more time.
Gather school books, put away children’s toys, put away papers, etc., then cover the tables with fresh tablecloths.
During the colder months of the year, you should light the fireplace in advance to protect your husband from catching a cold. Your husband will feel that he has reached a cozy haven of rest and order, and as a result, he will inspire you.
Get the kids ready. Wash their hands and faces (if they are small), comb their hair, and change their clothes if necessary. Children are little treasures. Let the husband see their involvement in taking care of him. A man should be protected from any noise. When he comes home, the washing machine, dryer and vacuum cleaner should be turned off. Try to make the children behave quietly.
Be happy to see your husband.
Meet him with a smile and demonstrate a sincere desire to please him.
Listen to him. You may have a dozen things you want to share with him, but the time he comes home from work is not the best time to do so. Let him speak first – remember, his topics of conversation are much more important than yours.
The evening belongs to the man. Don’t complain if he comes home late, goes out to dinner or other places of entertainment without you. Try to understand that your husband lives in a world of tension and pressure, so he needs to relax at home, not listen to reproaches.
Your goal is to make your home a place of peace and order where your husband can refresh his body and spirit.
Do not meet your husband with reproaches and problems.
Do not complain if he comes home late. It’s a small thing compared to what he experienced during the day.
Make your husband’s life comfortable. Put him in a comfortable chair or fill him with a hot bath. Prepare cool or hot drinks for him in advance.
Fluff his pillow, take off his shoes. Speak to him in a calm and pleasant voice.
Do not ask for explanations for his actions and do not question his honesty and fairness. Remember that he is the master of the house, acting fairly and correctly. You have no right to demand explanations from him.
