Thanks to three old nuts, he acquired a wife, a cat and a job. A good life story

No wife, no children, no job. This was Viktor’s reality. His personal life did not work out. He loved his children, but had no luck with women. He lost his job six months ago and lived on unemployment benefits and the small savings he had left over from his previous job.
Vitenka was already quite old – 35 years old – and Lady Luck was shuffling past with her ancient slippers. Finally, she was offered an interesting job, and a faint light of hope flickered on the horizon. The company was reputable, how could he not hit the mud with his face?
Viktor ironed his suit and took out a jacket he hadn’t worn in about six years. It was the only one that hadn’t lost its shape and appearance. He went out into the entrance, closed the door and reached into his side pocket to put the key in. At the bottom of the deep pocket, he found three walnuts that had been living their lives in the jacket for about six years.
The cat jumped to the man’s feet. It had been living in the entrance for a month, begging for food and getting kicked by the neighbours. Only one old lady from the second floor was feeding the redhead.
Viktor looked at the furry creature and pushed it aside with his foot. But it stubbornly continued to rub his ironed trousers, leaving fur on them. To get rid of the animal, Viktor threw a walnut at it. The cat ran after him, and the man quickly disappeared.
He was denied a job. Viktor drove home depressed and angry. At the entrance, he again met a hungry red cat sleeping in a cold corner, with a walnut lying next to it. Something clicked in the man’s chest, and with a heavy sigh, he turned around and left the building. In the shop on the corner of the house, he bought cat food, some tins pushed by the picky shopkeeper, a litter box and other small items.
He picked up the cat on the stairs and took it home. The redhead couldn’t believe his happiness, grumbling loudly and devouring the food. Vitia just looked at him and thought: “At least the cat will be fine. My problems are smaller than his. At least I don’t live in a cold entrance and don’t have to beg for food.” So a red cat moved into the two-room apartment, pushing Viktor’s loneliness to the far corner.
The next day, when he was putting his jacket away in the closet, the man took out the two remaining nuts. He decided to crack them with the door like in his childhood, but felt sorry for the jambs. He had installed a new door just a year ago. He went to get a hammer and remembered that he had given it to his neighbour on the floor below. He still hadn’t returned it. He went down to his place. A stranger opened the door. It turned out that the hammer thief no longer lived here. Six months ago, he sold his apartment and moved away.
They got to talking, drank tea served by the new friend’s wife along with homemade jam, and complained about life, politics, and other neighbours. It turned out that Vadym was the owner of a small trading company and was currently looking for a reliable assistant. After warm conversations and questions about his work experience, he invited Viktor to his place.
He didn’t promise a big salary, but he assured him in a neighbourly way that he could still have one in the future. Viktor was happy with everything. He had never dreamed of such a job, but he had experience and was considered smart by nature.
He returned home satisfied, hugged his cat and remembered that he had forgotten to ask for a hammer. He gave up and decided to crack the nut with his teeth. The nut cracked, and so did his tooth. Victor didn’t even deny his bad luck anymore.
In the morning, he sat in the dental clinic. When it was his turn, he gave himself into the hands of a pretty woman dentist. Inna had two sons, 37 years old according to her passport, good shape and a divorce. Hovering over Viktor, she suddenly said, unexpectedly for him and for herself: “Vitenka, aren’t you hurt?” I was embarrassed, but you can’t push Vitenka back. The word came out and landed on Vitenka’s face, which could not contain his emotions and broke into a wide smile without one tooth.
He decided to invite Inna to the cinema. She agreed. The film was boring, but the date was interesting. We talked about everything easily and naturally. He wanted to invite her to a cafe, but the doctor and the tooth he had pulled out did not allow it.
A month later, they legally lived in Vitenka’s apartment: Inna, her two sons, Red, and the owner of the apartment himself, who had done an excellent job with the position offered by his neighbour Vadim and got a stable job with a good salary.
Cinderella took out a hunting suit from the first nut to attract the prince’s attention. And Viktor got a cat from the first nut. The costume is one-off and ridiculous, and the young lady did not wear it again. But the cat is clever and reusable.
From the second nut, Cinderella got a princess dress. And Victor got a good neighbour and a job. The dress would not be enough if the prince suddenly refused to marry Cinderella and feed her. But the job will feed not only one person, but also a cat.
From the third nut, Cinderella got a wedding dress. It’s all clothes: a suit, a dress and another dress. Vitenka’s wedding dress turned out to be a broken tooth. Prince Viktor got not only the woman of his dreams, but also two sons at once.
Thus, thanks to three old nuts, in three days Victor acquired a cat, a job, a future wife and children.
Everyone has their own fairy tale in life!
