“Calm down, Misha”. Funny life story

Today in the supermarket I saw the following scene. Two people are walking ahead of me. You can see a grandfather and a grandson. And the grandson keeps shouting and demanding. To which the grandfather nods and says: “Calm down, Misha, you just need to calm down.” Even when the boy fell down and started beating his legs and arms on the floor, the grandfather still remained completely unmoved and just said: “Calm down, Misha. We’ll buy some food and go home. There is not much left.”

Finally, at the checkout, when the grandfather and grandson were standing in line, the boy grabbed the surprise kinder and crushed it.

The grandfather said again with a calm look:

“Calm down, Misha, we’ll be home soon.” And turning to the cashier, he continued: “Don’t worry, I’m sorry, we’ll certainly pay for this kinder.”

After this noisy group left, I couldn’t resist following them. I caught up with them in the parking lot and said, addressing the man: “You know, I’m delighted with how you calmed Misha down today, it’s a pleasant surprise.”

The old man smiled sadly and said: “The boy’s name is Alexei,” and added, “Misha is me!!!
